Pat Marion Christian

Pat Marion Christian, born January 15, 1937, in Clairette, Texas, affectionately known as Dad, PaPa, or Ol Man; went home to Glory on September 11, 2022. Pat attended school and church in Clairette, Texas. As a teenager he worked with his dad on the family farm along with his four brothers. As a young adult he worked the oil field in Albany, Texas, where he met and married his wife of 61 years, Brenda Lou Braddy, (BB). A serious injury caused him to leave the oil field. He and Brenda moved to Hico and he began work on the Duncan Ranch. He also worked on the pipeline. He was a self-taught dozer operator, and he knew no equal in his ability to construct Government tanks and reservoirs following SCS guidelines. He could make art out of any landscape. Later he made a living processing scrap metal. He and wife, Brenda, (BB) enjoyed their golden years in their home in the Clairette community. Anyone that met Pat knew they were loved and that he enjoyed them. Pat was very proud of his boys. Each uniquely defined, hardworking, and resiliently talented. There was a special place in his heart for his daughter and a gracious amount of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was greatly blessed. He enjoyed visits from family and friends and having kids running all over the place. He hunted and fished most of his life. He always had a garden growing. He was known for his friendliness and his smile. Pat could be found each day on his red lawnmower riding around and mowing yards in Clairette. He would be the first to say,” I love you more than ever” He would tell his girls how sweet and pretty they were. He worked daily feeding BB’s red birds, hummingbirds, and Darrell’s chickens a little extra. He cared for her cat, LaLee. He is greatly loved, and greatly missed already. He is now with BB and enjoying her beans once again. Being outside on the porch watching the birds and High 6 traffic was also a daily occurrence for him. He waived at the traffic and the neighbors passing by. His heart was full of love for his family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Rufus C Christian and Jewel Lorraine Stanley Christian, wife Brenda Lou Braddy Christian (BB), sister Yvonne Christian, and brothers Billy Wayne Christian and R C Christian Jr. (Sonny) Survived by sons Donny Christian and wife D’Ann, Steven Christian and Karen Foster, Troy Christian and Veronica Cortez, James Christian and wife Debbie. Two special sons: Thomas and Randy Alman, daughter Torrie Pierce and Husband Tim. Also surviving Pat are brothers, Norman Gain Christian and Owen Gail Christian as well as sister in-law Madia Christian, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nephews and nieces and cousin, Dorothy Turley. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Shirley Cash for the love she shared to Pat and Brenda. Family will hold a private service at a later date.
