Bobby Eugene Kilcrease Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Visitation: 6-8pm Tuesday, Febraury 12, 2013 at Harvest Hills Funeral Home Services: 11am Wednesday, Febraury 13, 2013 at Harvest Hills Funeral Home Burial: Mitchell Cemetery, Iredell, Texas Bobby Eugene Kilcrease, (72), of Canyon Lake, formally of Brownwood TX and FT Worth, TX passed away on February 10, 2013 surrounded by his loved ones. Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico Tx., with his son David Kilcrease officiating. Burial will follow at the Mitchell Cemetery in Iredell. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Harvest Hills Funeral Home. Bobby was born on August 11, 1940 in Duffau to J.C. and Gladys (Langford) Kilcrease. He attended school in Duffau and Hico. He married Nell (Pruitt) Kilcrease on 9/23/1959 and enjoyed 43 wonderful years together taking care of her until the good Lord called her home on July 23, 2002. He later married his soul mate Bonnie (Pruitt) Holley on December 27, 2004 whom also preceded him in death on October 21, 2008. Bobby was also preceded in death by his parents, Brother(s) Johnny Kilcrease, Herbert Kilcrease, Alex Kilcrease and sister(s) Lois(Kilcrease) Derrick and Joyce (Kilcrease) Lay. Bobby retired from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad after 44 years of service having started his career at the young age of 17. He had a love of trains, fishing, travel, gardening, sports and especially music. Bobby was a caring, loving husband, a wonderful father, loving grandfather and a great grandfather. He was widely known as Pop by his children and friends and Pop Pop to the great grandkids. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter(s) Terry (Eugene) Harris of Canyon Lake, Brandi (Ralph) Mendez of Ft Worth and son(s) David (Rachel) Kilcrease of Godley, TX and Bobby Scott (Marcie) Kilcrease of Ft Worth. He is also survived by step daughter(s) Debbie Hoop of Mesa, AZ, Sharon Flemmons , Georgetown, TX, Tammy (Chris) Mattiza of Gatesville, TX and step son, Gary (Buddy) Vaughn of Brownwood, TX, 25 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Brother Doug (Gail) Kilcrease of Bono, TX. Sister in law Marie (Bill) McCoy of Iredell, TX. And numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends Jim & Verna Flahive and Julie Darley. Special thanks to James Harris & Diana Barhydt for all you did for our dad during the last months of his illness. Pallbearers are : Eric Kilcrease, Jarrett Roeber, Zachary Kilcrease, John Allen Kilcrease, Ricky Taylor & Paul Ashby.
