William "Bill" Bruton

July 7, 1933 - April 1, 2022

William “Bill’ Bruton, born July 7, 1933, in Fayetteville, North Carolina to parents Paul and Mary (Barefoot) Bruton, passed away in Hico, Texas on April 1, 2022 at age 88. Bill enjoyed spending time on his farm and tending to his cows. He graduated from 71st High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina and retired from the US Army National Guard as a Staff Sergeant. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and 3 brothers. Surviving Bill are his daughters Patsy Bruton Stewart and husband Douglas, Kathy Bruton Carnal, and Samantha Pearl Hagen--his caregiver. Also surviving are his grandchildren Lori S. McFadyen and husband Lacy III, Douglas J. Stewart, Jr., Delbert R. Carnal, Jonathan S. Stewart and wife Kayla, Victoria L. Tew and husband Kenny. Bill is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, and two of his brothers, JD and Don Bruton. Graveside services 11:00 am, April 7, 2022, at Garden of Memories in Stephenville, Texas.
